Description

The compact INZA ISGK0.5 grease separator is designed for the separation and retention of vegetable and animal fats and oils from kitchen wastewater at low flow rates. Manufactured from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) by rotational moulding —a process that produces a seamless single-piece unit— it features an internal siphon wall and a PP screw-on lid for an airtight seal with no odour loss. Compliant with EN 1825-1 with CE marking, resistance class 1d.

How it works

The difference in density between contaminants separates the water into two phases: large solids (food scraps) settle on the bottom of the separator, while fats and oils float to the surface due to their lower density. The internal siphon wall retains the grease layer and prevents it from reaching the discharge pipe. Guaranteed treatment efficiency: vegetable and animal fats and oils below 40 mg/L.

Installation and maintenance

All pipework connected to the separator must be adequately ventilated; the discharge pipe must be fitted with a ventilation stack. Commissioning: fill with clean water until it overflows through the outlet pipe (repeat after every emptying). The unit must be inspected, emptied and cleaned regularly —at least once a month, preferably every fortnight— in accordance with EN 1825-2.
