Description
INZA polyester (GRP) sand and grit separators —also known as sand separators, sludge separators or settling tanks (decanters)— retain and accumulate solids (sand, grit and sludge) from wastewater by settling. They are installed as pre-treatment, ahead of hydrocarbon separators. CE marked to EN 858-1 and NF P16-451-1/CN.
Operation
The density difference of the contaminants allows the solids carried by the water to settle at the bottom. Correct operation requires proper sizing and periodic maintenance.
Design
Glass-reinforced polyester (GRP) tank, with different formats according to capacity. Resistance class 1d to NF P16-451-1/CN. PVC inlet and outlet connections. Polypropylene covers with Ø620 mm clear opening.
Advantages
CE marking to EN 858-1 and NF P16-451-1/CN. Lightweight and easy to install.
Applications
Vehicle wash centres, open-air car parks, roads and tunnels.
Options
Threaded GRP risers 40 cm high. Sludge alarm system.
Maintenance
The sand separator must be emptied and cleaned at least once a year, in accordance with EN 858-2 and NF P16-442.
